The articles for onboarding are currently being updated. Errors, missing links etc. will be corrected in the next few weeks.
You can send new messages to onboardees or reply to received messages.
Send message
This sends a new message to the onboardee.
Proceed as follows:
- Open the page Onboardings. The page Dashboard is displayed.
- Click on the name of an onboardee. The page Onboarding is displayed.
- Click on the button Send Message. The page Message displayed.
- If a business email address is stored for the onboardee, the Email address field is displayed and the business address is preselected.
- Select a Correspondence Template. The fields Subject and Content are displayed.
- You can edit the content of the fields before sending the correspondence.
- Placeholders contained in the correspondence template are filled.
- If you add further placeholders, these will be filled when the message is sent.
- Optional: Add an attachment via + attachment, which is only for this onboarding and is sent with the correspondence.
You can track the file name of the individual attachment in the onboarding history. - Click the Send button to send the message. The action and the message are documented in the history of the onboarding process. The Onboarding page is displayed.
Replying to an unfinished message in the messages inbox
Uncompleted messages are displayed with a number badge in the header bar at the Messages Menu option. A message is uncompleted as long as it has not been marked as completed. This applies regardless of the date the message was received.
Note
You can reply to the same message as many times as you like. This will not mark it as done.
Proceed as follows:
- Click on the Messages badge in the header bar. The page of the same name is displayed. The top message is opened automatically.
- Click on a message to open it.
- Click on the button Reply. The Send message input form is displayed.
- Compose a reply text.
- Click the button Send to send the message. The Onboarding page is displayed.
Reply to unfinished message in history
Every incoming and outgoing message is documented in the onboarding history.
- Completed messages have the icon and can no longer be replied to. (You can mark the message as unfinished to reply to it).
- Uncompleted messages have the icon and can be replied to.
Proceed as follows:
- Open the page Onboardings. The Overview page is displayed.
- Click on the name of an onboardee. The page Onboarding is displayed.
- Click on the tab History.
- Drag a history entry with a message that you want to reply to. Click on the icon . The Email modal dialogue is displayed.
- Click on the button Reply. The Send message input form is displayed.
- Compose a reply text.
- Click the Send button to send the message. The Onboarding page is displayed.
