You can write messages to Onboardees at any time, who will then receive them by email. Before the first working day, the email arrives at the private email address and after the first working day at the business email address.
If onboardees reply to the messages, these are entered in Onboarding at the top of the header in the Messages section. You can reply to them from there. Alternatively, you can also view and reply to the email in the onboarding in the tab history.


Required rights  

  • View messages
  • Mark messages as completed


Replying to messages

Proceed as follows: 

  1. Click on  Messages in the header bar. The page of the same name will be advertised.
  2. Click on a message to open it.
  3. Click on the  Reply button. The page Message will be displayed.
  4.  If necessary, change the Subject and write your reply in the Content .
  5. Click on the button Send.
  6. The page Onboarding is displayed with the tab History opened for the onboardee. The message Message sent also appears.


Mark message as completed

You can mark messages that you no longer want to reply to as completed

If you do this, they will no longer be displayed in the message inbox at the top of the header.
If a message is marked as completed by a user, it will be hidden from the inbox for all users.


Proceed as follows:

  1. Click on  Messages in the header bar. The page of the same name will be advertised.
  2. Click on a message to open it.
  3. Click on the button  Mark as done. The message will be removed from the message inbox.


Caution

If a message is marked as completed by a user, it will be hidden from the inbox for all users.


Mark done message as not done

If you have accidentally marked a message written by the onboardee as completed, you can undo this. 


Proceed as follows: 

  1. Open the page Onboardings
  2. Click on the name of one of the onboardees. The page Onboarding will be displayed.
  3. Click on the tab History.
  4. Choose the history entry with a message that you want to mark as unfinished.
  5. Press   Email. The modal dialog Email will be displayed.
  6. Click on the button  Mark as not done. The modal dialog is hidden and the message is displayed again in the header bar under Messages .
