There are various situations where it may be useful to copy an existing job opening instead of creating a new one from scratch.
The most common reasons for this are:
- Reopening a recruitment process
If a job opening has been archived but the associated process needs to be restarted, an exact copy of the original job opening can be created. This ensures that the existing reporting remains intact, and the new job opening has a separate history. - Efficiency for similar job openings
If a new job opening is needed that is very similar to an existing one, copying saves time and effort as many properties can be reused.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Job Openings page.
- Select the title of the job opening you want to copy. The job opening's detail page will be displayed.
- Click on the gear icon . A dropdown menu will appear.
- Select the option Copy. The newly created job opening with the addition "(Copy)" in the title will be displayed.
- Edit the title and other details by clicking on the edit icon .
- Save your changes by clicking Update. The updated job opening will then be displayed.
