Explanation of terms
Sources can be selected by the applicant in the application form through the question: "How did you learn about the company?" This selection allows an evaluation of which medium the job posting used to attract the applicant's attention.
Configuration
Sources are managed in the master data. You can create as many sources as needed in the master data.

Sources can be changed, added, or deleted in the application. - Default Sources
The following sources are included by default in your d.vinci system. You can delete or adjust this to suit your company:- Family/Friends/Acquaintances
- Homepage
- Job Fair
- Employee Recommendation
- Other
- Stepstone
- Filtering
Filtering by source is possible in the application search and the application overview. - Fixed Source in the Application Portal
When setting up an application portal, a fixed source can be selected. - Source Fixation in the Portal
By specifying the source in the portal URL, it can prevent applicants from selecting a source based on perceived advantages. - Analysis
The source of applications can be viewed in the "Analysis" tab of the job posting. - Reporting
- Evaluation of the source is possible via the Excel Raw Data Report.
- A graphical evaluation is available via the report Application Structure (Source).
- Sources are sorted alphabetically when created. Other sorting options are not possible.
- Deletion
Sources can only be deleted if they are not used as fixed sources in any application portal. - Deletion and Reporting

We recommend creating sources as high as possible in the organizational hierarchy so they are available at all levels. - Visible in Questionnaire
For internal sources, select "Visible in Questionnaire: No." This allows you to use sources internally, such as for recruitment agencies.

How Our Customers Use This
Some customers use fixed sources in application portals for platforms like Stepstone, XING, Youfirm, their intranet, etc. This eliminates the need for applicants to select a source. Typically, all media used to attract applicants are maintained as sources.
