Your company has decided to secure the login method with an additional security feature. You need to set up two-factor authentication using your cell phone.
How to recognize if your company uses two-factor authentication
The system displays the message "Two-factor authentication is enabled in this system. Set it up here soon: Security"
You will need the following for this:
- A mobile device that you always have with you when you want to log in to d.vinci.
- An authentication app on your mobile device. For example, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Do the following:
- Download an authenticator app on your always nearby mobile device.
Or
Open an authenticator app if you already have one downloaded. - In d.vinci, click the link in the message.
"Two-factor authorisation is enabled on this system. Please set it up here soon: Security"
or
Press on your profile picture/name. The user menu will expand and you can click on the My user button. - Use the Authenticator app to scan the displayed QR code. You will see a 6-digit code.
- Enter the six-digit code in the fiel Code.
- Press the button Verify to save the entry.
- Successfully set up. The next time you log in to the system, enter the code from your authentication app (usually a six-digit number) in addition to your user name and password.”
You will also receive an email notifying you that the setup was successful.
You have activated two-step authentication.
The next time you want to log in to d.vinci, you will have to enter your user name and password and also the 6-digit code displayed in the authenticator app. This code is regenerated every 30 seconds.
