Your company has decided to secure the login method with an additional security feature. You need to set up two-factor authentication using your cell phone.

How to recognize if your company uses two-factor authentication
The system displays the message "Two-factor authentication is enabled in this system. Set it up here soon: Security"


You will need the following for this:

  • A mobile device that you always have with you when you want to log in to d.vinci.
  • An authentication app on your mobile device. For example, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.


Do the following:

  1. Download an authenticator app on your always nearby mobile device.
    Or
    Open an authenticator app if you already have one downloaded.
  2. In d.vinci, click the link in the message.
    "Two-factor authorisation is enabled on this system. Please set it up here soon: Security"
    or
    Press on your profile picture/name. The user menu will expand and you can click on the My user button.
  3. Use the Authenticator app to scan the displayed QR code. You will see a 6-digit code.
  4. Enter the six-digit code in the fiel Code.
  5. Press the button Verify to save the entry.
  6. Successfully set up. The next time you log in to the system, enter the code from your authentication app (usually a six-digit number) in addition to your user name and password.”
    You will also receive an email notifying you that the setup was successful.


You have activated two-step authentication.
The next time you want to log in to d.vinci, you will have to enter your user name and password and also the 6-digit code displayed in the authenticator app. This code is regenerated every 30 seconds.
