If you can not longer remember your password, there are two ways to change it.


Note

If Single Sign-on (SSO) is activated, you will see a button Single Sign-on in the login screen. You can click on this button and do not have to enter your username and password. A login attempt with username/password would not work in this case anyway.


Change password by yourself

If the function Request New Password  is activated in your system, you can enter a new password yourself. The sentence Forgot password? will then appear between the user name and password.


Proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the login/registration page of your d.vinci system. The login page with the input form is displayed
  2. Press Forgot your password?. The Page Request New Password is displayed.
  3. Fill in the input form.
    • User name
    • E-mail
  4. Request new password on Request new password.  You will receive an email.
  5. Click on the link in the email. A website will open where you can set a new password.
  6. Enter your new password twice in accordance with the guidelines described in the information text above.
  7. Click on Change password. The start page of d.vinci is displayed.  

Note  

  • The link in the email is only valid for 48 hours. If the 48 hours are exceeded, you must click on Forgot your password? on the login page again.
  • Your new password is now valid.
  • Your old password is valid until you have assigned a new one.


Let your administrators change the password

If the function Request New Password is deactivated in your system in the basic settings, the password must be reset by your administrators.


Proceed as follows:

  1. Contact your administrators and ask them to reset the password in the user settings. As soon as the password has been reset by administrators, you will receive an email.
  2. Click on the link in the email. The login page of your system will be displayed.
  3. Enter your username and the password  contained in the email. The page Change password is displayed.
  4. Enter your new password twice according to the guidelines described in a hint text above.
  5. Press Change Password. The start page of your d.vinci is displayed.  

Note  

Your new password is now valid.


Caution

If you use the save password function in the browser, the field for entering the password may be overlaid for the time being. In this case, delete the entry from the browser and enter the new one.
