If you cannot remember your password, there are two ways to change it.

If Single Sign-on is activated in your system, you will see a Single Sign-on button in the login screen. You can click on this button and do not have to enter your user name and password.


Passwords do not need to be changed regularly. We have exceptions with a few customers who requested this.

Attention  

If you use the function in your browser to save your password, it may happen that the field for entering the password is initially overlaid. In this case, please click on the entry and then delete the password in order to enter the new password.


A) Change your password yourself

If the Forgotten password function is activated in your d.vinci system, you can give yourself a new password.


Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the login page of your d.vinci system. The Login page with the input form is displayed. 
  2. Click on Forgot password?. The Request new password page is displayed. 
  3. Fill in the input form.
    Elements of the input form:
    • User name
    • E-mail
  4. Click on Request new password. You will receive an e-mail.
  5. Click on the link in the e-mail. You will receive another e-mail with a system-generated password.

    Attention

    The system-generated passwort is just valid for 48 hours. After 48 hours you have to request another password. 

  6. Click on the link in the e-mail. The login page of your d.vinci system is displayed. 
  7. Enter your user name and the password sent in the e-mail. The Change password page is displayed. 
  8. Enter your new password twice according to the guidelines described in a note above it.
  9. Click on Change password. The start page of your d.vinci is displayed.  

Note  

Your new password is valid immediately


B) Having the password changed by an administrator

If the Forgotten Password function is deactivated in your d.vinci system, the password must be reset by an administrator. 


Proceed as follows:

  1. Contact your administrator and ask them to reset the password in the user settings. Once the password has been reset by the administrator, you will receive an email.
  2. Click on the link in the e-mail. The login page of your d.vinci system is displayed. 
  3. Enter your user name and the password sent in the e-mail. The Change password page is displayed. 
  4. Enter your new password twice according to the guidelines described in a note above it.
  5. Click on Change password. The start page of your d.vinci is displayed.  

Note  

Your new password is valid immediately.
