A conflict is triggered when a new application is received in the system and there is already an application in the system for this combination of first name and surname. The so-called conflict check is used to mark multiple applicants and to be able to resolve the conflicts later on.

Proceed as follows:

  1. There are two options to resolve the conflict:
    • Open an application where the  conflict symbol is displayed.
      Click on the  conflict symbol. The page Conflict is displayed with a note asking you to check whether the new person already exists in the system.
      or
    • Click on the task where the  conflict symbol is displayed. The page Conflict is displayed with a note asking you to check whether the new person already exists in the system.
      This option is only available if the user's role includes the right to resolve conflicts and to view multiple applicants.
  2. There are two options for resolving the conflict:
    • Click on the button  Same Person if it is the same person. A note is displayed that the original person is being deleted.
      Click on the button  Resolve Conflict: Same Person. The page Conflict is displayed with the Properties, Contact Information and Career of the person.
      or
    • Click on the button  Conflict: Different Persons if it is not the same person. The page Conflict  is displayed with the Properties, Contact Information and Career of the person.

Dealing with incorrectly resolved conflicts

The conflict can be triggered again and resolved differently.

Proceed as follows:

  1.  Open the application, which should be the same person. The opened tab Data is displayed.
  2. Click on the edit icon  . The pahe Person with an input form is displayed.
  3. Place any character (e.g. a period) after the first name.
  4. Click on the  Refresh button. The Application  page is displayed with the tab Data open.  
  5. Click on the edit icon  . The  page Person with an input form is displayed.
  6. Take out the character after the first name again. 
  7. Click on the button  Refresh. The page Application is displayed with the tab Data open. The conflict symbol is now also available again in the application and the conflict can be resolved differently than before.


"Same Person" pressed but it was different persons

The data of the person originally in the system has been overwritten. It is subsequently not possible to separate applications for different persons using the system. We cannot restore the original data.
