Through an API, external systems (online test providers, digital personnel files, etc.) can be connected. For this, you need an API user, through which the external system can access your d.vinci applicant management system.


Note

The API user also needs a role. With this role, you define which data the API user (i.e., the program connected to d.vinci) has access to and what actions it can perform in the system.


Required Permissions

  • Create users


Follow these steps:

  1. Open the page Users.
  2. Click on the button. A selection menu will appear.
  3. Click on API user. An input form will appear.
  4. Fill out the input form. Configuration instructions can be found in the main article: API user
    • Username*
    • Organizational unit*
    • Language*
    • Salutation*
    • First name*
    • Last name*
    • Email address*
    • Roles*
  5. Click on the button Create to save your inputs. A message with an API token will appear.
  6. Save the API token. You will need this in the program that will receive data from your d.vinci system.

    Attention

    The API token cannot be viewed again. Save it or generate a new one if needed. As soon as you generate a new API token, the previous API token for the user will be deleted and can no longer be used!
