You have the option to send/mark meeting invitations as private. This means that the participants of a meeting will receive the invitation as private. Other colleagues who view the participant’s calendar in their email program will no longer see the details of the meeting, but only the note "Private Appointment" (in Outlook). Also, opening the meeting is not possible for others who only have read access.
Attention
If the participant falls ill and a substitute wants to access the meeting, this will not be possible unless the calendar settings allow the substitute to view private items.
Required Permissions
- Configure basic settings
Follow these steps:
- Open the page Basic Settings. The page with the opened tab Email will be displayed.
- Click on the tab Calendar. The page with the opened tab Calendar will be displayed.
- Click on the edit icon . The input form will be displayed.
- Select Send iCals as private and choose Yes.
- Click on Update to save the changes.
