Explanation of term
Statistical data consists of non-personal information that can be important for reports and analyses. This data includes, for example, the application status, the time of an application, etc.
While personal data (e.g., name, date of birth) is protected by data protection regulations, statistical data can be stored anonymously and used for strategic decisions.
Configuration
Statistical data cannot be manually configured or modified. It is automatically generated through system usage and is relevant for internal reporting as well as data-driven decision-making.
System behavior
- How is statistical data queried?
When manually deleting applications or onboardings, a prompt appears asking whether the statistical data should be retained or deleted as well.
If you delete the statistical data, the entire dataset is removed and will no longer be included in future reports.
If you retain the statistical data, only personal data (e.g., name, date of birth) is removed, while general statistical information remains available for later analysis.
- Keep or delete statistical data?
When deleting an application or an onboarding, you must decide whether the data should be available for statistical evaluations later. In both cases, the data cannot be restored, for example, for reboarding an applicant at a later date.
Keep statistical data: Only personal information is anonymized, but important data for reporting remains.
Delete statistical data: The entire dataset is deleted and can no longer be used for analysis.
- Distinction from Data Reduction
During data reduction, personal data is deleted, while statistical data is retained.
This means that data such as salutation, postal code, location, position, and status changes remain, but place of birth, date of birth, and name are permanently deleted from your d.vinci system.
Note: Please observe the legally required retention periods and legal obligations from the GDPR regarding the deletion of personal data. Consult your legal department if necessary.
How our customers use this
Many of our customers rely on a data-driven HR strategy, which is why they consciously retain statistical data to analyze long-term trends and developments in the application process.
