You can display d.vinci in all available languages and create publications in any of these languages. German and English are always available as standard languages. Additional languages can be added as an extra service.

In the basic settings under the languages tab, you can define the primary language, additional languages, and mandatory languages.
If you are missing a language, you can request it from us. We will extend the language offering for you in your license.
System behavior
- Usage
To create publications in another language, this language must be set as a mandatory or additional language in the basic settings.
All user interface elements visible to you can also be displayed in another language. - Additional languages
Your system is available in all languages that you add as additional languages. English is always available as an option.
All input forms can be maintained in the languages you have selected as additional languages.
Publications can be created in the languages you have selected as additional languages. - Primary language
In many areas of the system, input forms and data fields can be maintained in different languages. The primary language is the one that is listed first. Additionally, the primary language is displayed when the browser is set to a language that is not available in your d.vinci system.
Example:
If you use the system with German and English, and German is set as the primary language, new elements will display their name in German first, followed by English. If you switch the primary language to English, you will enter the English name first, then the German name. - Mandatory language
If you set a mandatory language in the basic settings, all forms and data entries must also be translated into this language. This ensures the system can be fully used in another language.
If a mandatory language other than German is selected, missing translations will be displayed as links under the basic settings in the languages tab. If a translation is missing, the display name must be added in that language. - Change system language
In your user information, you can change the language. The system will then be displayed in the selected language.

How our customers use this
Many customers use additional languages besides the standard German and English to allow employees to use the system in their native language or to publish job postings in the respective language.
