Explanation of term

With the job video, you can create a textual video from an existing job advertisement. The video has background music and is read aloud by a voice. This allows you to draw attention to this position on your website, in the job advertisement or on social media channels and much more.

MVP - Minimum Viable Product

We provide you with the job video as an MVP, a service with a minimum range of functions, as we want to find out whether it arouses your interest and whether you can imagine using it.
The features of this MVP are:

  • The video is currently available in landscape format.
  • Links (for example to a landing page or career website) cannot be included in the video.
  • The video is not automatically integrated into a job publication.
  • Automatic integration of the video into job boards (for Example StepStone, Indeed) is currently not possible.
  • The data you enter in the video template will only be used for the video and will not affect your publication.
  • During the test phase, no personal data is included in the video so that we do not have to take the strict requirements of the GDPR into account.
  • The AI-generated voices, music and Google Maps are licensed. During the test phase, we will cover the costs for the licenses and generating the videos for you.
  • The finished video is saved as an mp4 file on our servers.

Can you imagine using the job video function? We would like to develop the function based on your feedback. Book an appointment with our Product Owner Markus.

Configuration

In an existing publication you can create a new one in the job video area.

Behavior in the system

  • Benefit
With the job video, you can reach applicants who don't have time to read long job advertisements. They can quickly see all the important information in the video.
  • Technology partner
We developed this function together with our partner DDD.
  • Permissions
To create or edit a job video, you need the right to edit job publications and to create or edit job videos. The permission for the job videos is called Job videos | view/edit/create/edit.
To create and edit video templates, you need the authorization to create or edit application portals.
  • Number of sequences
The job video always consists of 5 sequences or modules. They could also be referred to as slides.
    • Intro
    • Position
    • Location
    • Benefits
    • Outro
  • Saving the job videos

    • Saving on your server
You can download the created videos and save them on your server. Then you can upload them to your website and share them.
This has the advantage that you have full control over it.
    • Storage on our servers
It is not necessary for you to download a video. You can simply use the URL we provide for the video. We may delete the videos from our servers at some point. If we do this, you will be informed in our release notes.
  • Display job video externally
Once the job video has been created, it is necessary to insert it in the place where you want to display it to applicants.
Read more here: Display job video externally
  • Size of the displayed video
    • In the job ad template
Three placeholders are available in the job advertisement template and on the start page of the application portal. The videos have different sizes.
      • Publication - Video small (height: 240 pixels, width 320 pixels)
      • Publication - Video medium ( height: 576 pixels, width: 768 pixels)
      • Publication - Video large (height: 900 pixels, width 1200 pixels)
    • On websites
You have to embed the video on websites using code. In the code, set the hight and width fixed.
      <p><video controls=""height="480" width="100%"><source src="
      https://demo-hgrqt.dvinci.info/appo/public/jobPublicationVideos/25"
/> Schau dir hier ein Beispiel an.</video>
      </p>
  • Deactivation of the job opening / job publication
The video will remain available. So if you have embedded it somewhere else via code, detached from your job advertisement, it will still be displayed there.
  • Changes to the video
If you make changes and create a new video, the old video will be replaced and can no longer be accessed. The address of the video remains the same, so it will be displayed updated wherever it is embedded. If you do not want to lose the previous video, you can download it. However, in order to be able to display it to advertisers, it must then be linked from your website. See: Saving the job video

How our customers use this

As the function is brand new, we can't say yet. We can imagine that the job video is mainly used for less complex positions, as you only present the important key points in the job video and advertise the benefits of your position. For example, for positions such as truck driver, where everyone knows roughly what the requirements are.
We would be delighted if you could let us know what you would like to use the job video for.
