Glossary

With the job video feature, you can create a video with voice and text to enhance an existing job posting. The video is complemented with suitable images and can be set to background music to make the presentation more engaging. This allows you to promote the position appealingly on your website, in the job advertisement, or on social media, effectively drawing attention to the job offer.

Configuration

After creating a Job Publication, you can create a new video in the Job Video section of the job publication.

System Behavior

  • Usage
    The Job Video feature allows you to reach applicants who don't have time to read lengthy job ads. They can quickly see all the key information in the video.
  • Permissions
    To create or edit a job video, you need the right to edit job publications and to create or edit job videos. The permission in the system is called Job Videos | view/edit/create/delete.
    To create and edit video templates, you need the permission to create or edit application portals.
  • Purchase Video Contingent
    To generate job videos, you need to purchase a video contingent. You can do this by navigating to the Job Video menu item. You will be redirected to our website for more information and from there you can request an offer.
  • Remaining Video Contingent
    Once the contingent is purchased and activated by our colleagues, a display will appear in the job publication showing the remaining available videos.
  • Number of Sequences
    The job video consists of 4-5 sequences, which can also be referred to as slides.

  • Retrieve Created Job Videos
    After generating a job video, you can view a preview.
    Clicking the Back icon in the navigation bar will return you to the job publication where you created the video.
    Next to the Job Video section heading, you’ll see a copy icon . This provides the URL for the video.
    In the Job Video section, you can download the video as an mp4 file by clicking Download.
  • Storage of Job Videos
    • Storage on Your Server
      You can download the created videos and save them on your own server. Then, you can upload and share them on your website.
      This gives you full control over the content.
    • Storage on Our Servers
      There’s no need to download the video. You can simply use the URL we provide. However, we may delete videos from our servers at some point. If this happens, you’ll be notified in our Release Notes.
  • Display Job Video Externally
    Once the job video is created, you need to embed it where you want it to be visible to applicants.

  • Embedding Video on Websites
    The video can be embed on websites via code. More infos here: Job video - display on a website
  • Deactivation of the Job Opening/Job Publication
    The video remains available. If embedded separately from your job posting, it will continue to be displayed elsewhere.
  • Video Changes
    If you make changes and create a new video, the old video is replaced and can no longer be accessed. The video address remains the same, so it will automatically update wherever it’s embedded. If you want to keep the previous video, download it. To display it to applicants, it would need a link from your website. See: Storage of Job Videos

Notes on Configuration 

  • Step Design
    • Font*
      You have several fonts available that can change the font for all text in the video.
    • Brand Color*
      This sets the background color for the heading and bullet points.
      You can customize the background and bullet point colors on each slide.
    • Font Color Headline *
      This sets the color of the heading. You can adjust it on each slide as needed.
    • Brand Contrast Color*
      This is the background color for the area with bullet points. You can customize it on each slide as needed.
    • Font Color Text Field*
      This is the font color for bullet points and text fields like the introduction or contact details.
  • Step Voice/Music
    • Voice*
      Choose from different voices. This voice will read the text entered in the Spoken Text field at each step.
    • Background Music
      You can add background music to play from start to end as background music.
  • Step and Slide Introduction
    Create suspense and generate interest in the position you're hiring for.
    • Font*
      Font ofthe Introduction.
    • Background Color*
      This is the background color for the entire slide.
    • Font Color*
      This is the font color in the Introduction text field.
    • Image*
      The image will appear above the written introduction.
    • Spoken Text
      If you want the introduction to be read aloud, paste the introduction text here.
      Spoken Text and Introduction can be completely independent if needed.
    • Text field Introduction*
      Write an introduction for the position you're hiring for.
    • Button Text-to-Speech
      Click this button to convert the text in the Spoken Text field into speech, which you can listen to by pressing the play icon next to it.
  • Step and Slide Content 1 / Content 2 (optional)
    You have creative freedom for the content here. It's probably a good place to write about the job tasks and benefits, but you can design it however you like.
    • Background Color Headline*
      This is the background color for the heading section.
    • Font Color Headline*
      This is the font color for the heading.
    • Font Headline*
      This is the font used for the heading.
    • Background Color Text Field*
      This is the background color of the text field containing the bullet points.
    • Font Color Text Field*
      This is the font color of the bullet points.
    • Font Text Field*
      This is the font used in the bullet points.
    • Color Bullet Points*
      This controls the color of the bullet points.
    • Spoken Text
      If you want the heading and bullet points to be read aloud, paste the relevant text here. Spoken Text and Heading/Bullet Points can be completely independent if needed.
    • Text Field Headline*
      Give the slide a heading with a maximum of 50 characters, in two lines if necessary.
    • Bullet Point 1
      Write at least one relevant point for the heading in Content 1.
    • Bullet Point 2
    • Bullet Point 3
    • Button Text-to-Speech
      Click this button to convert the text in the Spoken Text field into speech, which you can listen to by pressing the play icon next to it.
  • Step and Slide Image
    Select an image to make the position more attractive.
    • Background Color Headline*
      This is the background color for the heading section.
    • Font Color Headline*
      This is the color of the heading text.
    • Background Color Text Field *
      This is the background color of the field displaying the image.
    • Font*
      This is the font used for the heading.
    • Image*
      Select a suitable image from the Media section.
    • Spoken Text
      If you want the heading to be read aloud, paste the relevant text here. Spoken Text and Heading can be completely independent if needed.
    • Text Field Headline*
      This appears in the section above the image.
  • Step and Slide Contact
    Provide contact details for someone responsible for the position.
    • Background Color Headline
      This is the background color for the heading section.
    • Font Color Headline
      This is the color of the heading text.
    • Font Headline*
      This is the font used for the heading.
    • Background Color Text Field 
      This is the background color for the contact details section.
    • Font Color Text Field 
      This is the font color for the contact details.
    • Font Text Field 
      This is the font used for the contact details.
    • Image*
      Add an image here, for example, of the contact person for the position.
    • Spoken Text
      If you want the heading and contact details to be read aloud, paste the relevant text here. Spoken Text and Heading/Contact Details can be completely independent if needed.
    • Button Text-to-Speech
      Click this button to convert the text in the Spoken Text field into speech, which you can listen to by pressing the play icon next to it.
    • Text Field Headline
      This appears in the section above the contact details.
    • First Name Last Name
      Enter the name of the person who is the contact for the position.
    • Position
      This is the position of the contact person.
    • Email Address
      Enter an email address here. Note that you might receive applications at this email address. If you do not wish to, leave this field empty.
    • Telephone Number
      The phone number of the contact person for the position.
    • URL
      The URL to your website or job posting where interested applicants can apply.
  • Step Create Video
    Here you see an overview of all slides.
    Click the button Back to make changes to slides.
    Clickthe button Generate Video Now to create the video after a short generation time of up to one minute. Only click this if you’re sure, as it will reduce your available video quota.
    This is viewable in the new Preview section by pressing the play icon  .
