The Job Publication Channel is the connection between the Job Opening and the Application Portal.
In a Job Publication you can activate a Job Publication Channel via the On/Off button. Only then the Job Opening with the contents of the Job Publications will be displayed externally at the Application Portal linked to the Job Publication Channel.

A Job Publication Channel can be assigned with an Organizational Unit. Without an Organizational Unit it will not be displayed anywhere for selection.


With an Organizational Unit, the Channel is also available for selection to all Organizational Levels below it.

When activating the Channel in the Job Publication, the icon   can be used to specify a period during which the Job Opening is visible externally.

Default Value

We recommend setting the default value to "On" only for the homepage and intranet channels, if at all, when creating a Job Publication Channel. This means that as soon as a Job Publication is created and saved, it will appear on the intranet or website.


If you are not yet finished and want to change things later, the intermediate status will still have been visible to applicants. It is therefore safer to select the default value "Off" everywhere.

Send Job Advertisement

A Job Advertisement can also be sent to an Email address stored in the Job Publication Channel. This is done via the Send Job Advertisement   button in the Job Publication. An input mask will then open.

After sending the message, the recipient receives a ZIP file with all the contents of the Job Opening in CSS styles, images and an HTML file.

In the Job Opening history it is possible to see if a Job Advertisement was sent to a person by email.


You can also use the Job Publication Channels to track whether Job Publications have been placed in certain print media, for example. Simply create a channel for this purpose, but do not link it to an Application Portal.

If a Job Publication Channel is deleted, the channel is set to "off" in all Job Publications.


Job Publication Channels cannot be evaluated in reports.
