Explanation of term
The earliest possible start date is a field that you can maintain in the job opening. It allows you to record and display externally the earliest possible date a position can be filled. It is distinct from the earliest starting date, where applicants indicate when they can start.
Configuration
In the job opening, you can enter an earliest possible start date.
System behavior
- Field type
The field Earliest possible start date is a free text field. Both letters and numbers can be entered. - Manual entry
A manual entry is required. Values cannot be centrally stored or selected via a dropdown menu in the job opening. - Field schema configuration
Using the field schema configuration in the job opening, the field can be shown, hidden, or defined as a mandatory field. - Placeholder usage
The earliest possible start date can be used as a placeholder (Job opening – Earliest start date) in the correspondence template and the job publication template.
How our customers use this
An example: The last working day of a person is June 31, so the position can be filled no earlier than July 1. July 1 is therefore the earliest possible start date for new employees.
