Template layouts are email or letter templates for repeated messaging. They contain frame information on the message text that should appear in every message. Together with the correspondence templates, which contain the content of the message, they form the e-mail or letter

Required rights   

  • Create template layouts


Type: Email

This provides the framework for your email correspondence.


Proceed as follows: 

  1. Open the page Template Layouts
  2. Click the button  Template Layout. The input form is displayed.
  3. Fill in the input form
    • Name*

    • Organizational Unit*

    • Type*: Email

    • Template*: In the languages that should be available. This corresponds to the layout of the email, such as to the footer.

      Caution

      The placeholder {CORRESPONDENCE_TEMPLATE:CONTENT} must be present. It inserts the content of the correspondence template in the proper place.

    • Font

    • Font Size

    • Custom Stylesheet

  4. Click the   Create button to save your changes. The Template Layout page is displayed.


Type: Document

This provides the framework for your postal correspondence.


There are two letter templates of the document type available. Should you need more, please contact us and we will send you a quote.

These template layouts are already filled with content which you should replace/modify according to your wishes.


Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the page Template Layouts.
  2. Click Standard Letter English or Standard Letter German. The page with the details is displayed.
  3. In Template, click the Download button. The document will be downloaded and saved according to your computer settings.

    Note

    We recommend that you save the document twice. One as the original and a second one for customizing. This way you will make sure that if something doesn't work, you will be able to use the original again.

  4. Open the document and customize its content and placeholders.

    Note

    All placeholders from d.vinci are usable.
    However, it should be noted that the typing changes.

    • { } changes to << >>
    • : changes to _
    • Example: _ {LOGGED_IN_USER:LAST_NAME} changes in the document to <<LOGGED_IN_USER_LAST_NAME >>
    • Please do not delete the placeholder <<html:CONTENT>>. It represents the content of the correspondence template.
    • Once you have made your changes and saved the document to your computer, you need to upload it again.
  5. Click the   icon in Template. An input field is displayed.
  6. In Template, click into the Please select field. You are now able to upload the customized document.
  7. Click the   Update button.

Type: German Standard Letter DIN-5008: Type B

This provides the framework for your postal correspondence, which should be designed according to the DIN standard for letters.


Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the page Template Layouts.
  2. Click the   Template Layout button. The input form is displayed.
  3. Fill in the input form:
    • Name*
    • Organizational Unit*
    • Type*: German Standard Letter DIN-5008; Type B
    • Template*: In the languages that should be available. This corresponds to the layout elements of the email, such as to the footer.
    • Sender Line*
    • Contact Person*
    • Telephone*
    • Email*
    • Footer Left*
    • Footer Center Left*
    • Footer Center Right*
    • Footer Right

      Note

      You can turn fields off, select contents or make entries via fixed text.

  4. Click the   Create button to save your changes. The Template Layout page is displayed.


You can edit values by clicking the   icon or delete the template layout by clicking the   Delete button.
