Explanation of terms

Via the programming interfaces (also called API) it is possible to transfer data from d.vinci to another program. These can be classic BI programs, programs for time recording, personnel files or job boards.

Configuration

  • Interfaces to an external program require an API user.
  • Interfaces to job boards can easily be created via application portals.

Behavior in the system

  • The permissions of the API user restrict which data can be viewed and thus used by the external program.
  • Jobboards often use the JSON or XML which is automatically created when an application portal is created.
  • Read here how to connect a job board: Get started with: Connect job board with d.vinci
  • We already have some job boards that know d.vinci: Standard interfaces to job boards
  • You can decide how to retrieve the job postings from the job boards. Here more about it:
Transmission types of the job advertisements to job boards when using the API
  • In the application portalyou can decide which type of interface will be used:
    • Off: No interface will be provided for this portal.
    • Public: An unprotected interface is provided for this portal, through which external systems can manage job postings.
    • Public, with application import by Stepstone (Quick Apply): An unprotected interface is provided for this portal through which external systems can manage job postings. Applicants who click on "Apply" at Stepstone are directly imported into your d.vinci. In addition, the applicant's status is transmitted.
    • Protected:  A password-protected interface is provided for this portal, through which external systems can manage job postings.
    • Protected, with application import: A protected interface is provided for this portal, via which external systems can manage calls for entries.
    • Protected, with application import and status tracking: A protected interface is provided for this portal, through which external systems can manage calls for tenders. In addition, the status of the applicant is transmitted.

How our customers use this

Many customers only need the interfaces to the job boards. Few have connected external programs, for example, to better collect statistics or to connect test providers.
