Explanation of term
In the publication, you can use the button Job Advertisement to display how the job ad would appear on the respective application portal.
Configuration
Once a job publication is created, you can preview it when the job advertisement is activated in the application portal.
System behavior
- How can the preview be accessed?
Through the Job Advertisement icon and by pressing Preview, you can check how the job publication of a job opening is displayed on the respective application portal.

The application portals where Job Advertisement Activated is set to "Yes" are selectable. - How is the display composed?

- What is visible in the preview?
Texts and other settings, such as the panorama image, are displayed in the preview based on the publication.
Texts from the job posting templates flow into the preview in three ways:- From the fixed job ad template of the application portal
- From the selected job ad template in the job publication
- If nothing is selected in the job publication, from the standard job ad template in the application portal
- Temporary preview
The preview is valid for only a few seconds. Afterward, the URL of the job publication can no longer be accessed. If the link is accessed later, a message appears:
"The requested job offer is no longer available."
This ensures that different versions of a job publication are not circulated. Always communicate only the direct link to a publication to candidates, not the preview link, to ensure they always have the latest version. You can obtain this link by accessing the job posting in the application portal or through the job a list. - Preview application portal

How our customers use this
Once the job publication is created, many of our customers check the appearance of the job ad, at least on their own homepage/career page, using the button Job Advertisement. For this, they have set up their own application portal.
This is important because formatting errors can occur when copying and pasting (see Adopt texts from Word templates) or because too large gaps and too many spaces can sneak in, which then become visible in the preview. They fix these errors and check the preview until the display is error-free on the controlled application portal.
