Explanation of term
Fixed sources make reporting more meaningful, as the source for a job portal is fixed. Applicants can no longer choose sources they did not apply through, preventing the medium from being falsely inflated.
Configuration
If you open the page Application Portals, you have the option in the tab Data, under the section Properties, to select a fixed source.
Behavior in the system
- Source in the application form
The question "How did you hear about the company through the following channel:" will no longer appear in the application form once a fixed source is set.
Example of use:
All applications that come through the intranet are assigned the source "Intranet" from the master data. - Website/Homepage
If you set the fixed source "Homepage" in the Portal homepage, it could distort your reporting, as a candidate may have become aware of you through a job fair. Therefore, fixed sources are only suitable for clear portals with clear sources.
How our customers use this
Our customers set up application portals for job boards, which they link with fixed sources.
The application portal StepStone, for example, then contains the fixed source "StepStone".
