After entering the wrong password six times on the login page, a user will be locked. Colleagues who have the right edit user in their role can open the user in d.vinci and provide a new password.

Locked users have a lock icon in the username column.

Attention

  • You can only reset passwords of users who have a lower security level in their role than you. You cannot reset passwords for users who have the same security level. In that case please contact an admin.
  • If the username/password login method is set to No in the locked user, the unlocking user is not shown a Reset password button because access is then controlled via single sign-on.


Proceed as follows: 

  1. Open the page User.
  2. Press on the name of the user whose password you need to reset. The page User with the person's details will be displayed.
  3. Click the Reset password button. The user will receive an email with a new password.

    Attention

    The password is valid just for 48 hours. After 48 hours you have to perform steps 1-3 again.
