Explanation of term

The capture date indicates when an application was entered into the system. This is distinct from the application date, which indicates when an application reached your company.

Configuration

The capture date is automatically assigned when the application is created. It cannot be configured.

System behavior

  • Reading the date
In the history of the application, you can see the capture date as the first entry.
  • Distinction from application date
The capture date is automatically stored in the application. For example:
A candidate applies by mail. The letter arrives on Monday, but the responsible colleague is sick on Monday and Tuesday and only enters the application into your d.vinci system on Wednesday. The application date would be Monday, while the capture date would be Wednesday.
  • Filtering
In the application overview and the application search, you can filter by capture date. This allows you to display all applications recorded within a specific period, which can help review the work of trainees or new colleagues.
  • Changes
The capture date cannot be changed. It is determined by the time the data is entered into the system.

How our customers use this

Since it is a system-defined date, there is no specific usage possible. However, it might be interesting for you to check how much time passes between the capture date and the application date. If many days pass, applicants may drop out because they receive feedback on their application too late.
