Explanation of term

CMS is an abbreviation for Content Management System. It enables collaborative creation, editing, organization, and presentation of digital content, primarily for use on websites.

Configuration

A CMS is a tool that you use outside of d.vinci. Therefore, we cannot provide any guidance on its configuration.

System behavior

  • Embedding content
If you use a CMS to display your website, you probably embed the content from your d.vinci via interfaces that your IT has established with your d.vinci. This also means that values are only taken from your d.vinci, and the layout/design is controlled via your CMS.
  • Distinction from d.vinci services
When embedding via CMS, we have no influence on elements such as the widget, the job posting template, the application questionnaire, or the job posting. These are all designed by the CMS you use.
  • Settings in the application portal
Carefully check the settings you make when creating the application portals. The homepage and the job posting should not be activated, as the data is read from the system.

How our customers use this

Some customers want to fully design their layouts themselves and control everything related to the external presentation of job postings via their own Content Management System. In case of change requests, the media agency or service provider managing the website is responsible and issues the invoice. In this case, we have no way to make changes that are visible externally. Also, job lists, etc., do not need to be designed with d.vinci in this case.
