Explanation of terms
Categories can be selected in the Job Opening and displayed in the widget as a filter. Applicants can customize the list of job advertisements with this filter. You can also filter your Job Openings by it and see at a glance how many Job Openings of a category you have.
You will find the following categories in your d.vinci when the system is delivered:
- Customer Service
- Purchasing
- IT
- Marketing
- Office Management
- Product Management
- Sales
Configuration
Categories are maintained in the master data. You can create as many as you like in the master data.
Behavior in the system
- When categories are created, they are sorted alphabetically. Other sorting is not possible.
- Through the field schema configuration in the Job Opening, the Categories field can be shown and hidden, as well as defined as a mandatory field.
- The category can be used as a placeholder (Job Opening- Categories) in job advertisement templates and correspondence templates.
- Filtering by categories is possible in the application list as well as in the application overview and job opening overview.
- An evaluation of the categories can take place via the Excel raw data report with the data number of applications received. It is also possible to create additional reports with the filter categories.
How our customers use this
Many customers have configured their job list/widget to allow applicants to filter by category.
In addition, some customers have created extra career pages for job ads with a specific category. Here, only job ads in that category are then displayed by pre-filtering the widget.
For example, there are individual career pages for IT, marketing or nursing.
