Explanation of Term
The consent for extended use is a field in the questionnaires. When used correctly, it legally secures your ability to use applicants' data for further purposes. For example, if you want to include them in your talent pool or consider candidates for another job opening (switch job opening / move applicants).
Configuration
In the questionnaires (except for appointment surveys and kununu feedback questionnaires), the field Consent for extended use can be hidden, optionally defined as a mandatory field, or as a mandatory field with "Consent required" in the Form tab.
System Behavior
- Application status
In the application status, it can be set that consent for extended use must be present by selecting Yes. - Mandatory field
If the field is defined as mandatory, the card "Consent for extended use" appears in the Form tab of the application questionnaire, and applicants can give their consent. - Configuration
Using the edit icon , both the title and the content, as well as additional content for the consent for extended use, can be defined in the application questionnaire. - Filtering
In the application search and on the Applications page, it is possible to filter by consent for extended use. - Legal notes
Discuss the content of the consent with your data protection officers. We cannot and are not allowed to make recommendations in this area. - Changes
Changes to the content are immediately visible in the questionnaires. Individuals who have already given consent will not be informed of changes.
How our customers use this
Consent for extended use is applied, for example, when adding applicants to the talent pool and is also required if an application is to be reviewed for a different position than the one it was originally submitted for. Often, a questionnaire for sending is created, which is linked to a correspondence template to ensure a legally compliant query.
